Hello All,

 We have been discussing the topic of media oligarchy versus media monopoly.

 It was established that Belize being a very young country has a lot yet to accomplish in the media world. That includes more mobile phone services, more Internet suppliers, more cable companies, more media house that can produce BELIZEAN movies, cooking programs, music channels, more news houses and evening newscast, more radio stations etc. We also talked about media funding in Belize and how the government play its role in funding. Which isn't really much except for propaganda.With all that said and acknowledging the need for growth below is a link with information regarding freedom of press in Belize. The information contained in the link is ironic considering our need to grow.
